Graduation Speech

Hello everyone, welcome back to another blog post. Today's is going to be kind of long so don't say I didn't warn you.So basically our english teacher is making us write a graduation speech on our blogs, so if you find this boring don't blame me, go yell at her (the url is http://gmsbloggingwithjoy.blogspot.com/. Anyway let's get right into it.

Hello everyone, today is a very special day in the lives of all the eighth graders here at Golf. Soon we will be moving on from this great place and I think that I speak for most everybody when I say that we will miss it greatly. Our time here has been extremely eventful and I for one won't soon forget the memories that I have made here. I remember my first day of kindergarten at hynes. I was so afraid of being at a new school and with new people. After those first few weeks everything just seemed to fly by so quickly until we were off to Golf to start fifth grade. To us Golf was a massive difference from Hynes because it was huge. There were so many new things to learn, and new people to meet. Luckily for us our principal Ms. Chvojka was just starting at Golf as well and it helped a bit to know that we weren't the only ones starting at a new school.

With the start of a new school meant that we had much to learn about the way of things and just new material to cover in general. We had many amazing teachers to help us along the way including Mrs. Feinstein, Ms. Nelson, Mr. Carro, and Mrs. Joyner just to name a few. Fifth grade wasn't really that hard because we still had the same system as we did back at Hynes but then the year was over and we moved on to sixth grade.

With the start of sixth grade many things happened for example, we had to adjust to a new way of life at school. Rather than staying in one class, we were to travel around to many different classes to learn different subjects from different teachers. On the other hand sixth grade was nothing compared to what was to come in seventh grade.

In Seventh grade we were introduced to an entirely new subject, Spanish. With the extra year under our belts the work and stress began to build, and we soon realized that is was only going to get tougher still in eight grade and beyond.

Then finally we reached eight grade and we realized that this was our last hurrah and that this was going to be the largest amount of work that we had ever done in a year. We took this challenge head on and we have been working hard for the duration of the year and now we have arrived at what is essentially the end of our time here at GMS.

I would like to say one final thank you to all of the wonderful teachers and staff who have helped us along the way, and remember to never lose your Cardinal Spirit, thank you for your time.

A new chapter

Hello everyone, welcome back to another blog post. Today, if you couldn't tell by the ttitle, today I'm going to be talking about endings and beginnings. Since I'm going to be moving on to high school so this post will be a recollection of the good times at golf and some goals for summer.

One of my favorite moments at golf was in 5th grade. It was April fools day andy friends and I had a plan to prank our teacher who loves diet mountain dew. Essentially, when she wasn't looking, we grabbed her stash of mountain dew and hid it. Then we placed a bunch of water bottles in the place of the soda and with them a post if note that said "drink more water". This didn't go very well because she didn't actually notice, but it's still a fun little memory to keep with me.

And now for a goal for the summer. This summer, I definitely want to make sure that I have as much fun as possible before is start high school because this'll be my last chance to just screw around for a long time before I have no time because of school work. I just want to spend time with my friends and family, and have as much fun as I possibly can, rather than wasting my time worrying about high school.

Thanks for reading, have a great day.

Tough Times

So this week our teacher is having us write about something that would have your status on facebook change to "It's Complicated", and since we have just completed parcc testing I think that it would be fitting for the test to be the topic of this post. Basically, if you don't know the Parcc is a standardized test, which means that every school basically has to take it or their is some sort of penalty. The part about the test that I am the least fond of is not that it's time consuming, I'm fine with that because we get to waste the school day, I don't even mind writing the essays that much because the only real annoying part is figuring out how to start, What I really hate is the absolutely random questions for example (btw this isn't actually a question it's just a joke) If Jim has 4 apples and he eats 2 what's the circumference of the sun? Don't get me wrong sitting there doing nothing, except reading and constantly writing stupidly long, perfectly spelled and detailed essays is annoying but i just hate the randomness of the questions the most. Overall this insane idea of a test is simply to annoying to survive without some stress or annoyance.

Whitney's Miltank

Hello everyone, welcome back to another rant. Today, is you haven't guessed bt the title, I'm going to be ranting about Whitney's Miltank. Let me begin by saying THIS THING IS THE SINGLE MOST ANNOYING POKEMON YOU WILL EVER FIGHR. It's defenses are crazy for the third gym (oh yeah by the way this thing is in the third gym of pokemon heart good and soul silver). It also has a huge hp stat to boot. It has strong for a stab attack with a flinch chance which is always annoying, rollout, which grows in power when it's used consecutively, attract so you can barely hit the thing, and tk top it all off MILK DRINK SO IT CAN BE IMMORTAL. Oh and if you thought "Oh it's a normal type gym I'll just catch a ghastly!" WRONG, this thing has scrappy so it can hit your ghost types as well. To even get to this thing you have to get through her clefaiey first which isn't that hard unless it's metronome lands on hydro canon or sacred fire.

That's pretty much it. To sum it all up, this thing is the single most annoying and painful pokemon to fight. Thanks for reading

Talking about a Human

Hello everyone, welcome back to another blog post. Today I'm going to be writing a tribute to my uncle. My uncle is always there for me and he never gives up on me no matter how horrible I am. I'm so grateful to know him and for him to be a part of my family. He is a great person and I want for him to continue for him to be a part of my life. One of my favorite experiences with his was watching Super Bowl 50. My entire family had gathered to watch the super bowl and we spent basically the entire time together rooting for the broncos and playing football outside. He's an overall amazing person and once again I'm extremely grateful that he has been a part of my life.

Talking to some dead people also some that aren't

If I could meet any three famous people, I would have a hard time choosing but I would probably pick: Walter Peyton, Robert Lewandowski, and Mike Ditka. I would pick these people because they are some of my favorite athletes ever. Two of the most famous Bears players ever and the best current Polish soccer player. I would pick Walter Peyton because he was just overall an amazing player and an amazing person, and it would be an honor to meet him. I would want to meet Mike Ditka, again because he was a great player, but also because he was a great Quarterback (which the bears desperately need right now) and I want to play quarterback as well. Finally I would want to meet Robert Lewandowski because he is my favorite soccer player. He is an amazing athlete and I love watching him play, so I would very much like to meet him.
