Rant 1. Tapu Lele
I hate this thing Tapu Lele has one of the most ridiculous special attack stats in the 2017 V.G.C. format. With a base special attack of 130 it's guaranteed to rip through teams, especially if they don't have a wall to counter it. If you have a Garchomp, Hariyama, or anything that doesn't resist psychic or fairy you will feel the wrath of this mon. The two main items that people run with Lele are choice specs (an item that binds the pokemon holding it to the use of only one move, which is the first move used until the holder is switched out. The perk to this item is that the power of special attacks is doubled.) or psychium z ( which essentially powers up a psychic type move and combined with it's already insane special attack something is going to die.). Also if that weren't enough it's ability, psychic surge creates a terrain that increases he power of psychic type moves and prevents priority. If you see an alolan muk run for the hills and switch into a garchomp or celesteela to take the hit but if you need a wallbreaker their are few mons in the 2017 vgc that can stand up to this pink monstrosity.
Rant #2 Mega Rayquaza
What's up everyone, welcome back to another blog thing. Today we're going to be talking about one of the most broken pokemon in the T.C.G. and in the games. Let's talk about the games first. In the games all of mega rayquaza's base stats are 100 or over and a base stat total of 780. Both of it's attack stats are at a base of 180, its speed is 115, it's hp at 105 and both of its defenses are 100. On top of it's nuclear attack, as if to make up for it's "low" defenses, it's ability Delta Stream essentially halves damage from ice rock and electric attacks, basically cancelling out their being super effective. On top of that it cancels out weather (swallow that pelipper). Also if you can't out-speed it you won't be able to even get a single hit off because of it's nuclear attack stats with it's insane coverage "cough" "cough" V Create.
Now that we've gotten the V.G. version out of the way let's talk about it's cards. Their are two variants of mega rayquaza in the T.C.G. One with the Emerald break attack which does 30 damage times the amount of benched pokemon combined with the sky field which allows for you to have 8 pokemon on your bench, with a cost of only 3 energy you can theoretically be doing a consistent 240 damage by turn 4 give or take. The other variant takes a little longer to get charged up but one it does it does a whopping 300 damage, but forcing you to discard any two energy, combined with the special charge and a double colorless energy, essentially giving you a 1 to 3 use 300 damage nuke, given the correct circumstances.
That's all for now, leave a comment about some new ideas for rants and thanks for reading!
Rant #3 Shiny Odds
Hello everyone, and welcome back to another rant. If you haven't figured it out by now, I'm going to rant about shiny odds next.
Essentially, my problem with shiny odds is that they are COMPLETELY BOGUS. I honestly don't know how they were coded but it isn't based on the actual odds it's simply your luck., you could get it on your first try or never get it. I've seen someone hunt for almost a month, for a single shiny, gotten to almost 5,000 encounters, gotten the chances of finding a shiny to as high as possible without hacking and it still took him that long to find one. On the other hand many people including me have had the insane luck of finding a shiny on the first encounter or even randomly just walking around. Now I know that all of you analytics out there think that "oh, the odds are better so I'm going to find a shiny" WRONG. If you think that just because you sit in one chain for days on end your guaranteed a shiny, well yes, but you might have to sit there for days on end. In the end it all comes down to how lucky you are at any given moment when you could find a shiny.

It's hard to find people to talk about Pokémon in my school .-.
ReplyDeleteHow lucky are you finding shiny Pokémon so easily! I've been playing for over 5 years and I have yet to encounter 1! Oh, and btw, have you ever gotten a shiny starter?
